Proposal #19: Sigma Prime Audit #2


Tracer DAO is considering engaging Sigma Prime to audit Tracer’s codebase.

Sigma Prime were previously contracted as a Service Provider to audit the Perpetual Swaps codebase & initial Factory smart contract implementation (Proposal #2: Sigma Prime Audit).

This audit will be a 6 week process, during which Sigma Prime will detail any errors found with the Tracer Perpetual Pools codebase. Sigma Prime are a preeminent auditing team who commenced work on 18/08/21. The Mycelium team are to work with Sigma Prime throughout the audit to fix any bugs and help them to navigate and understand the codebase. This initiative aligns with the Tracer Whitepaper (Tracer: Peer-to-Peer Finance), where it was set out that Tracer DAO would adhere to strict security standards in relation to its smart contracts.

This proposal seeks to remunerate Sigma Prime for their service to Tracer DAO. The Mycelium team has confidence in Sigma Prime’s ability to meet the deliverables contained in this proposal and appreciates the working relationship that has been formed.


For the provision of these services, Sigma Prime requests:

  1. 105,000 USDC immediately.

If engaged by Proposal to provide the services described in this Proposal to the DAO, Sigma Prime will provide the services in accordance with the Services Agreement below (Deliverables):

Variation and Termination

  1. Sigma Prime acknowledges that, if engaged, its engagement can be varied or terminated by future Proposals.
  2. Sigma Prime expects that any engagement will be terminated if they fail to deliver in accordance with the deliverables specified above.

Conflicts of Interest

In the context of the Tracer project, conflicts of interest include:

  1. Existing Service Providers who are Related Parties; and
  2. Existing (vested and unvested) holdings of TCR tokens.

Sigma Prime wishes to declare the following conflicts of interest:

  1. No conflicts of interest to declare.


Unless otherwise defined in this offer, all terms beginning with a capital letter which are defined in the Participation Agreement have the same meaning unless the context otherwise requires.

If this offer is accepted as a Proposal under the Participation Agreement, Sigma Prime may more formally document aspects of that Proposal.

Which other audit firms have been asked for a quote and how did those compare to Sigma Prime’s proposal?

Hi @roinevirta we assessed the market in terms of contract auditors including the likes of Peck Shield, Trail of Bits etc. We found Sigma Prime to be the most cost effective for the security that they were going to provide alongside their strong reputation. Additionally, they are a local Australian company (same time-zone) that the Mycelium team have already built a strong working relationship with as per the first audit here: Proposal #2: Sigma Prime Audit.
