Add Tracer to Messari Governor

0xPenguin (a DAO community member) offers its services to Tracer DAO ( DAO ) in order to work with the DAO on the specific task of getting Tracer added to the index of protocols monitored by Messari Governor , a protocol governance tracker.

  • Scope of the task is limited to onboarding Tracer into the tool
  • Benefits TracerDAO by providing more exposure and signaling legitimacy by a respected entity in the space
  • TracerDAO community members will benefit from using the tool to track and better understand Tracer governance in the context of the broader ecosystem

For the provision of these services, Rising Tide requests:

  1. 4,000 TCR (equivalent to approximately $500 USD at time of this proposal)

This proposal requests 50% of the TCR to be paid upfront. Upon completion of the project the remaining 50% will be sent.

Remuneration to be provided to: 0xD99A8092fcfD7FB21accdc2E4e04C3843D6489c8

0xPenguin shall, from the Commencement Date, and for the duration of this Proposal, provide the Deliverables to the DAO in accordance with the terms of this Proposal.

Time for the performance of the Deliverables shall be of the essence and 0xPenguin shall meet any performance dates for the Deliverables specified in the Order or notified to the 0xPenguin by the DAO.

If engaged by Proposal to provide the services described in this Proposal to the DAO, 0xPenguin will provide the following ( Deliverables ):

  2. Follow through any information exchange or DAO coordination necessary for integration
  3. Providing updates to the TracerDAO community on progress and final completion
  4. Listing of TracerDAO in Messari Governor

Variation and Termination

0xPenguin acknowledges that, if engaged, the DAO may terminate or vary its engagement in accordance with:

  1. Future Proposals and performance;
  2. The Deliverables specified above;
  3. A material breach of any term of the Agreement which breach is not capable of being remedied or (if such a breach is remediable) fails to remedy that breach within 10 days of receipt of notice from the DAO in writing to do so; and
  4. Any repeated breaches of the terms of the agreement in such a manner as to reasonably justify the opinion that its conduct is inconsistent with it having the intention or ability to give effect to the terms of this agreement.

Termination of the Proposal shall not affect any of the parties’ rights and remedies that have accrued as at the date of termination. Furthermore, any termination of this agreement shall not be effective unless the agreement either expires, all things required to be done by the Proposal are completed or it is terminated by a further proposal of the DAO.

In the context of the Tracer project, conflicts of interest include:

  1. Existing Service Providers who are Related Parties; and
  2. Existing (vested and unvested) holdings of TCR tokens.

This process has already been start by someone else, I believe.

Original GFP is here: GFP: Adding TracerDAO to Messari Governor

@0xPenguin you voted against that one, then created this one. What’s the reasoning?

I’m willing to do the same at a lower price.

@0xPenguin it’s good to see that a level of competition has been raised for tendering for squadron work. However, a point needs to be made here.

As per @risingtide’s initial proposal attached GFP: Adding TracerDAO to Messari Governor, @risingtide was the one that scoped and requested for the work to be added to the DAO Work ‘Project Requests’ board.

@0xPenguin I understand that you are trying to offer your services for a lower price, however, to ensure that the process is fair, and those that bring ideas to the table are not undercut, a new policy is in order to ensure that work within Tracer DAO thrives.

New policy

Members of the DAO that propose new tasks under the ‘Project Requests’ board have first priority at being assigned to the task that they propose before others. If they do not wish to execute on the work that they have proposed, other members from the DAO may be assigned to the task if applied for. This will ensure that members will have the option to be rewarded for new ideas proposed.

wow - good luck not getting ripped off NGMI
